You can follow these steps to reset your Google Chrome web browser to its default settings.

Resetting Chrome to its default settings can help. The reset feature fixes many issues by restoring Chrome to its factory default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks and open tabs.
Reset Google Chrome – Windows Machines
- Click the menu icon next to the address bar.
- Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Settings page and click the Advanced link.
- Scroll to the bottom of the expanded page and click the Reset button.
- Click the Reset button in the pop-up window.
Reset Google Chrome Web Browser to Default Settings – Mac Machines
- Click the menu icon () next to the address bar.
- Click Settings.
- Click Show advanced settings… at the bottom of the page.
- Scroll down the page and click Reset settings.
- Confirm you’d like to reset your settings by clicking Reset.
